Travel information for individual activities are included in each post, but for general information on planning your travel around London, I’ve included some links here.
- Citymapper, my favourite travel planning app (for web, Android, or Apple)
- London tube map PDF, including handy timing information on where it’s quicker to walk than to change lines
- Check delays and disruptions – especially important to check if you’re visiting over the weekend, as this is when they carry out most improvement work
If you don’t have an Oyster Card already, I’d recommend just using a standard contactless credit or debit card. These work fine on bus, Tube, tram, DLR, London Overground, TfL Rail, Emirates Air Line, River Bus and most National Rail services in London. If you don’t have a contactless card, check out the TfL’s fares & payments page for more info on buying tickets and Oyster Cards.
